Two Little Kittens  兩只小貓

　　Two little kittens, one stormy night,

　　兩只小貓，在一個(gè)風(fēng)雨交加的夜晚，

　　Began to quarrel, and then to fight;

　　開(kāi)始吵架，然后打架；

　　One had a mouse, the other had none,

　　只有一只老鼠，沒(méi)有另一只老鼠

　　And that's the way the quarrel begun.

　　就是這樣開(kāi)始了爭(zhēng)吵

　　"I'll have that mouse," said the biggest cat;

　　“我要老鼠，最大的那只貓說(shuō)到。

　　"You'll have that mouse? We'll see about that!"

　　“你會(huì)有老鼠？我們走著瞧！”

　　"I will have that mouse," said the eldest son;

　　“我會(huì)有老鼠，”大點(diǎn)的說(shuō)；

　　"You shan't have the mouse," said the little one.

　　“你不會(huì)有老鼠，較小的說(shuō)。

　　I told you before 'twas a stormy night

　　我告訴過(guò)你 是一個(gè)風(fēng)雨交加的夜晚

　　When these two little kittens began to fight;

　　當(dāng)這兩只小貓開(kāi)始打架；

　　The old woman seized her sweeping broom,

　　老婦人抓住她掃地的掃帚，

　　And swept the two kittens right out of the room.

　　把兩只小貓從房間里趕了出來(lái)。

　　The ground was covered with frost and snow,

　　地面上覆蓋的都是雪

　　And the two little kittens had nowhere to go;

　　兩只小貓無(wú)處可去；

　　So they laid them down on the mat at the door,

　　婦人就把他放在門(mén)口的墊子上

　　While the old woman finished sweeping the floor.

　　隨后老婦人掃完地。

　　Then they crept in, as quiet as mice,

　　然后他們悄悄的像老鼠一樣安靜，

　　All wet with the snow, and cold as ice,

　　地上全是濕的雪和寒冷的冰塊，

　　For they found it was better, that stormy night,

　　他們發(fā)現(xiàn)那是一個(gè)暴風(fēng)雨之夜，

　　To lie down and sleep than to quarrel and fight.

　　于是躺下來(lái)睡覺(jué)，而不是在爭(zhēng)吵和吵架。
